Attention NYC Charter Schools: NYC Mayor Adam Extends Local State of Emergency
On Saturday, October 22, NYC Mayor Eric Adams issued Executive Order 242, extending the local state of emergency in New York City, and allowing NYC charter schools to continue operating under pandemic-era rules regarding board meetings. As a result, charter schools throughout the five boroughs are allowed to continue with fully remote participation in board meetings, if they so choose, until the local state of emergency expires or is withdrawn.
