Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees have approved the following revision applications.

Success Academy Charter Schools – NYC, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one charter school, requested the following enrollment revisions:

• Success Academy Charter School – NYC 5, located at 760 Gun Hill Road, Bronx, NY 10467 in Community School District (“CSD”) 11, is charted to serve 50 students in grade K for the 2024-2025 school year through 2028-29 school year, the last year of the current charter term. The school requested an enrollment increase to serve 120 students in grade K for the 2024-25 through 2028-29 school years. The SUNY Charter Schools Institute, as the SUNY Trustees’ designee: 1) received the revision on or about October 18, 2024, and 2) approved the revision on February 13, 2025.
• Success Academy Charter School – Norwood (formerly known as Success Academy Charter School – Harlem 6), located at 268 East 207Th Street, Bronx, NY 10467 in CSD 10, is charted to serve 275 students in grades K-2 for the 2024-25 school year growing to serve 425 students in grades K-4 for the 2026-27 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school requested an enrollment revision to serve 431 students in grades K-2 for the 2024-2025 school year, growing to serve 633 students in grades K-4 by the 2026-27 school year. The SUNY Charter Schools Institute, as the SUNY Trustees’ designee: 1) received the revision on or about June 26, 2024, and 2) approved the revision on February 13, 2025.

Final Notice – The following charter revision has been approved by operation of law.

• Academic Leadership Charter School, located at 677 East 141st Street, Bronx, NY 10454 and 470 Jackson Avenue, Bronx NY 10455 in Community School District (“CSD”) 7, is chartered to serve 931 students in grades K-8 by the 2027-28 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school requested an expansion to add a high school program starting in the 2024-25 school year serving 412 students in grades K-8 and growing to serve 592 students in grades K-12 by the 2027-28 school year. The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the application on or around August 20, 2024; 2) approved the application on October 9, 2024; and, 3) the revision was approved by operation of law on or about February 4, 2025.

Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees have approved the following revision application.

Public Prep Charter School Academies, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one charter school, requested the following enrollment revision:

• Girls Preparatory Charter School of the Bronx II located at 263 East 203rd Street, Bronx, NY 10458 in CSD 10, is chartered to serve 361 students in grades K-8 for the 2024-25 school year, the last year of the current charter term. The school requested an enrollment increase to serve 510 students in grades K-8 for the 2024-25 school year.

The SUNY Charter School Institute, as the SUNY Trustees’ designee: 1) received the revision application on or about October 22, 2024, and 2) approved the revision on December 11, 2024.

Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees have approved the following revision application.

KIPP NYC Public Charter Schools, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one charter school, requested the following enrollment revision:

• KIPP Freedom Charter School, located at 2246 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, NY 10453 and 1825 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457 in CSDs 10 and 12, respectively, is chartered to serve 755 students in grades K-3 and 5-8 for the 2024-25 school year growing to serve 845 students in grades K-8 for the 2028-29 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school requested an enrollment revision to serve 660 students in grades K-3 and 6-8 for the 2024-25 school year, growing to serve 845 students in grades K-8 by the 2028-29 school year. The revision serves to align better the school’s growth pattern such that operating grades in the elementary program grow naturally to complete the planned K-8 program.

The SUNY Charter School Institute, as the SUNY Trustees’ designee: 1) received the revision application on or about September 30, 2024, and 2) approved the revision on February 13, 2025.

Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees have approved the following revision application.

• Brilla College Preparatory Charter Schools, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one charter school, requested a revision to its overall admissions policy to add an at-risk preference for students whose school has closed in the previous school year or has announced closure within or after the current school year. The SUNY Charter School Institute, as the SUNY Trustees’ designee: 1) received the revision application on or about October 30, 2024, and 2) approved the revision on December 10, 2024.
