Final Notice – The following charter revisions have been approved by operation of law.

DREAM Charter School, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one school, requested to change the education corporation’s name to “DREAM Charter Schools.” In addition, the education corporation requested the following enrollment revisions:

  • DREAM Charter School is located at 1191 Second Ave, New York, NY 10029 and 20 Bruckner Blvd, Bronx, NY 10454 in CSDs 4 and 7 and chartered to serve 958 students in grades K-12 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school requested an enrollment revision to serve 528 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year, transferring the authority to operate the high school grades to DREAM Charter School Mott Haven where the high school program is located.
  • DREAM Charter School Mott Haven is located at 20 Bruckner Blvd, Bronx, NY 10454 and 339 Morris Avenue, Bronx, New York 10454 in CSD 7. The school is chartered to serve 648 students in grades K-4 and 6-8 for 2023-24, the final year of the current charter term.  The school requested an enrollment revision to serve 1,006 students in grades K-4 and 6-12, accommodating the high school grades from DREAM Charter School as the high school program operates within the Dream Charter School Mott Haven location.

The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the revision applications on or about July 12, 2023, 2) approved the revisions on October 12, 2023, and 3) the revisions were approved by operation of law on or about February 20, 2024.

The school sought a five-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024.  According to the renewal application, the school will continue to serve 450 students in grades 9- 12.
  • University Prep Charter Middle School is located at 470 Jackson Avenue, Bronx, NY 10455 in CSD 7 and chartered to serve 496 students in grades 5-8 for the 2023- 24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a five-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024.  According to the renewal application, the school will expand to serve 900 students in grades K-8.
