Final Notice – The following charter renewal has been approved by operation of law.

Explore Charter Schools of Brooklyn, an education corporation operating more than one charter, sought to renew its corporate authority for a full term of five years as well as its authority to operate the following charter schools:

• Explore Charter School is located at 655 Parkside Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11266 in CSD 17 and is chartered to serve 540 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a five-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024.  According to the renewal application, the school will serve 532 students in grades K-8.
• Explore Excel Charter School is located at 1077 Remsen Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11236, and 956 East 82^nd St, Brooklyn, NY 11236 in CSD 18 and is chartered to serve 564 students in grades K-8 for the 2023-24 school year the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a five-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024.  According to the renewal application, the school will serve 564 students in grades K-8.

The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2023, 2) approved the renewal on December 13, 2023, and 3) the renewal was approved by operation of law on or about April 17, 2024.
