Harlem Prep Charter School

First Notice – The SUNY Trustees have received the following revision application:

Democracy Prep New York Charter Schools, an education corporation with the authority to operate more than one school, requests the following revision:

• Harlem Prep Charter School, located at 101-111 West 116^th Street, New York, NY 10026; 232 East 103^rd Street, New York, NY 10029; and 240 East 123^rd Street, New York, NY 10035 in CSDs 3 and 4, is chartered to serve 765 students in grades 3-12 for the 2024-25 school year growing to serve 862 students in grades 3-12 by the 2028-29 school year, the final year of current charter term.  The school requests an enrollment revision to serve 725 students in grades 4-12 for the 2024-25 school year and 360 students in grades 9-12 for the 2025-26 through 2028-29 school years.  The students in the elementary and middle school grades will be accommodated by other schools under the education corporation.

The SUNY Trustees, or their designees, the SUNY Charter Schools Committee, anticipate consideration of this application as early as June 1, 2025.
