The Academy Charter School – Uniondale

Second Notice – The SUNY Trustees have approved the following renewal application.

The Academy Charter School, an education corporation operating more than one charter, sought to renew its charter for five years as well as its authority to operate the following charter school:

• The Academy Charter School – Uniondale is located at 100 Charles Lindbergh Blvd, Uniondale, NY 11553 in Uniondale Union Free School District and chartered to serve 1,550 students in grades K-12 for the 2023-24 school year, the final year of the current charter term. The school sought a five-year renewal of the charter commencing August 1, 2024.  According to the renewal application, the school will grow to serve 1,740 students in grades K-12.

The SUNY Trustees: 1) received the renewal application on or about August 15, 2023, and 2) approved the renewal on March 27, 2024.
